The composite block sysytem is being developed by Oxford Brookes University (OBU) and Hanson Brick for the housing market. The composite module incorporates both the inner and outer leaf, with the insulation sandwiched between. The joint in the insulation was developed after extensive water penetration testing at OBU. Integral advised on the structural and practical implications of developing the unit.
