New eco visitor centre, by White Design, to stimulate business growth and awareness of environmental issues in Torfaen. The building adopts the unique demountable timber frame and straw bale modular construction which is part of the Modcell system (patent pending 0803489.4) build. The building was built off an existing slab and the prefabrication of the timber units allowed a rapid build. The building has created much interest and could be used as a prefabricated classroom or village hall.
The building has been given a Civic Trust Award.
