Integral Structural Design is currently working with Hall and Bednarczyk architects on a temporary demountable auditorium for Holland Park Opera which sits beneath a fabric canopy. To the rear of the auditorium and below the main raked seating is a hospitality and bar area which partly cantilevers off the rear auditorium. It is proposed to construct the auditorium from timber Leno board and glulam beams which creates a lightweight structure and reduces the need for craneage. The demountable and temporary nature of this project make it particularly challenging project.
