Graduate Engineer/ Technician

Integral Structural Design are looking for a graduate engineer, technician or student placement to join their team in Bath in Autumn 2008.  You will need to be passionate about design and your interests will range from new sustainable buildings to conservation.

Our work encompasses a wide range of projects, from new-build school and community buildings, footbridges and tunnels to the conservation of Grade I listed manor houses. We place particular emphasis on design quality, innovation, sustainability and environmental considerations.  We enjoy our work and believe this comes through in the quality of work we produce.  We have won numerous awards, particularly for sustainable design.

It is vital that every member of the team is developing their skills and feels supported and valued.

The practice is run on a “workshop” basis with engineers learning from each other’s experience, as well as more formal training opportunities.  We have weekly training sessions in-house on subjects ranging from Roman archaeology, to designing structural glass and we also make full use of training opportunities provided externally.

Each person has an individually agreed set of training objectives which are reviewed annually.  We provide good support to help you achieve professional accreditation and our Graduate Training Programme has been approved by the Institute of Structural Engineers.  Our approach enables you to achieve real responsibility at work and develop your career in the direction that is right for you.

Our salary and reward packages are competitive and based on experience and qualifications.

If you are interested we ask that you send us your CV by Monday 8 September 2008.  We will be interviewing mid to late September 2008.
