Tim founded Integral Structural Design (formerly known as Mander Structural Design) in 1999 and has over 23 years of design experience. Tim's particular expertise is in sustainable design and he has delivered a number of award winning projects.

Tim is actively involved in all projects within the practice and maintains a strong design lead. He firmly believes that good architecture and good engineering go hand in hand and need to be fully integrated to deliver high quality buildings cost effectively. The practice has won numerous design awards, which are a testament to close working relationships and respect between architect and engineer.

Prior to setting up the practice Tim worked for Buro Happold and was the project engineer for the Wessex Water HQ which set new standards in environmental design and won Building of the Year 2001. He has also worked on other high profile projects such as the Millennium Dome and a TV headquarters in Korea

Tim is a visiting lecturer at Oxford Brookes and Bath University and strongly believes in the importance of educating the next generation of Engineers and Architects. Tim has carried out several pieces of research at OBU and he recently chaired a DTI working group in the use of thin bed masonry in the UK.
