Margaret brings 15 years of design experience to the practice. Her background is in conservation and refurbishment and she thrives in the particular challenges of working with existing buildings.

Margaret has an input into all the projects in the practice and often approaches a design issue from a different angle.  She has worked on a number of National Trust and Grade I listed buildings, but also particularly enjoys bringing buildings back to life, with modern techniques and materials set against the existing structure.  She has wide experience in the history of construction and brings her knowledge of construction techniques to the start of any project.  Her interest in sustainable design, old and new, is supported by the experience of using traditional low energy materials.

She is a visiting lecturer to Oxford Brookes University Architecture Department.
