Richard Partington Architects were selected down to a final short list to develop design ideas for the Rowntree Housing competition in York. Integral Structural Design worked with RPA on various structural solutions which challenged preconceived housing construction. One of the solutions considered was the EURBAN system of laminated solid timber walls. This enables a rapid build and solves many of the acoustic and robustness issues associated with traditional timber framing.
